In 2015, I left my thriving studio and beloved students in Massachusetts to create a new life with my family in Southern California. I welcome singers from my local community and beyond to my studio in Rancho Mission Viejo, CA.
Music and theatre have always been a part of my life. After graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Music Education, I taught in the public schools teaching general music, choir and musical theatre. I started my voice studio in 2000, and have since worked with hundreds of singers through private and group lessons, musical theatre classes, and musicals.
My students have gone on to purse degrees in musical theatre and classical music, music therapy and speech and language pathology. Students have performed in popular music venues, local and regional theatre, and on Broadway.
I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and have been the Student Auditions Coordinator for the San Diego Chapter since 2015. My students have the opportunity to participate in bi-annual NATS Student Auditions in which students perform for and receive valuable feedback from local San Diego voice teachers and music professionals. Recent additional study includes Education Through Music through the Richards Institute of Education and Research and Somatic Voicework (™), the LoVetri Method. In addition to teaching private voice, I enjoy music directing musicals in the Orange County community theatre scene.
